Wealth Building Principles
Wealth is relative. It means different things to different people. Wealth is much more than the accumulation of money and assets. True wealth creation is also about enriching the spirit, mind, body, emotions, family and community. Here are a few “’Wealth Principles’’ that have held me in good stead.
- Integrity…Integrity…Integrity: No amount of wealth can replace a good nights sleep. Be true to yourself, keep your word and don’t let people down.
- Give More Value Than You Take: Your financial success becomes a measure of how much value you have given to others. The more you have the more you must give back.
- Be Courageous: Wealth is a result of doing what others won't so you can have what others never will.
- Discipline: – The cornerstone of success. Stay the course. Repeat your success. Remain flexible and consistent.
- Avoid Unnecessary Consumption: Financial freedom comes with sacrifices and putting off what you cannot afford until a time when you can.
- Motivate and Support Others: Help others and you will help yourself towards your financial goals.
- Imitate Success: Learn from successful people. Reinventing the wheel is a waste of effort.
- Leverage: You cannot build wealth by yourself and you cannot do it all yourself. Leverage money and expertise.
- Take care of your Wealth: If you do not take care of your wealth somebody else will and don’t blame others when you loose it.
