Diagnosing the Law of Attraction

If you really wish for something and you truly believe in it, the whole universe will conspire to realize your wish” is what the law of attraction means. It was made most famous in 2006 by the book “The secret” written by Rhonda Byrne. It is also one of the main driving force of New Age Spirituality. “Think and Grow Rich” , a book published by Napoleon Hill in 1935 was also based on Law of attraction, as the title suggest.

It basically says that think about exactly what you want, ask the universe for it, visualize the object it in your mind, and be absolutely open to the outcomes and your wish will come true. The most important thing to follow according to this law is to avoid all negative thoughts about it.

Putting it in simple terms, when you think “I want a red Ferrari”, and the whole universe will start to deliberate your wish, but on the other hand if you also think “ I can't afford it”, then which ever thought of yours is stronger, the reality will prevail. On the other hand if we try to be skeptical about the law, and consider the hypothesis that a person wants to be a Superman, and he strongly believes that the universe will help him, will his wish come true? We don't see anyone wearing a blue latex costume with a red cape flying around saving people. But on the other hand there are cases where people who were declared to be terminally ill, have come back to full health, while the doctors treating them have abandoned hope of the person's survival.

The truth is that it is not the universe that wants you to make your wishes come true, it is you who can conceive your own desires. The strength to achieve the unimaginable is within every person. It depends on how much trust we put in ourselves that makes the difference. Your desires will only come true if you work towards them. Many people take up a goal and as soon as they reach a hurdle which might have been difficult to overcome, abandon their wishes to succeed. They don't achieve anything in their lives because they give up on themselves. The point is that in order to achieve anything, one must not just think about it but also do a little bit something so that the universe will understand and get a reason to conspire for the dreams to come true.

Laws of Attraction, may sound a bit far fetched for some or may be very potent for some, but we can agree on this that there is no harm in thinking positive and keeping bad thoughts away. If the universe wants to make the wish come true it may do so, and if it does not we can still hope for the best but not to forget to do something about it. There is no alternate to hard work and perseverance.
